Sometimes when I make a meal plan, the meal I chose last week does not sound great the day I go to make it.
Try building some flexibility into your meal plan by scheduling a lazy night. The truth is, we don’t have the time or energy to cook every night. Plan a couple lazy nights that don’t require cooking and take the opportunity to order takeout or dine with friends. You can make the recipe you had planned the next night, or plan for different ways to use the ingredients you bought.
But, you may also just want to try making the meal you had planned anyway. Once you start prepping and cooking, you might remember why you wanted to make it in the first place! Then if you really don’t want to eat it, you can freeze it for a later date.
