Best Storage
The fridge is the best place to store corn.
Store unhusked corn in the warmer section (upper shelf) of the refrigerator. Keeping the husks on will prevent the corn from drying out. If husked, wrap corn in damp cloths and store in an airtight container in the fridge.
Can I Freeze It?
Yes.
Fresh corn can be cut into mini cobs and frozen in freezer bags. When you’re ready to use them, pop into a saucepan of boiling water and cook straight from frozen. Alternatively, slice off the kernels and freeze in mini portions, ready to be sprinkled onto pizza or used in salads.
Use It Up
Use up leftover corn in a simple corn fritter, or try it tossed into an omelette.
Did You Know?
Corn keeps its sweetness and best flavour in the fridge. If stored at room temperature, the sugars will turn into starches more quickly.
